Frequently Asked Questions

This tour doesn't start at our Coloreros office — your guide meets you outside, at the Starbucks on Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo, right by the Neptune Fountain and just a two-minute walk from the museum.

The guided portion runs 1.5 hours, enough time for your guide to walk you through the Prado's essential masterpieces without rushing. Your skip-the-line ticket stays valid afterward, so you're free to keep exploring the rest of the museum on your own.

No — that's the point of this ticket. Your guide takes you straight past the general admission queue through the skip-the-line entrance, avoiding waits that can stretch well over an hour in high season.

Groups are kept small, capped at around 15 people, so you can actually get close to the paintings and hear the guide clearly instead of craning over a crowd.

You'll be with a licensed, Spanish/English-speaking guide trained in art history, not just someone reciting names and dates. Expect real context on the stories, symbolism and historical background behind the works you're standing in front of.

The 90 minutes centers on the Prado's unmissable pieces — Velázquez's Las Meninas, Goya's El tres de mayo de 1808 and his Black Paintings, and Bosch's El jardín de las delicias among them — with the historical context behind each before you're free to explore the rest of the collection yourself.

The price covers your skip-the-line Prado Museum ticket and the guided visit. Gratuities for the guide aren't included and are never expected, just appreciated if you enjoyed the tour.

Yes — cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour starts for a full refund. Cancellations after that window, or no-shows, aren't refundable, so just confirm your plans a day ahead.
