Valdemossa Half Day Tour

It's a traditional Majorcan pastry made with potato-based dough, typically dusted with sugar — a local specialty you'll find in Valldemossa's bakeries. The tasting is included in the price, so you get to try it as part of the visit rather than as an optional extra.

It's a genuine tasting, not a sales pitch — you sample the pastry in its home town, where it's been made this way for generations. There's no pressure to buy anything extra; it's simply part of the included itinerary.

Valldemossa is one of Mallorca's most picturesque mountain villages, known for its stone houses and narrow streets in the Sierra de Tramuntana. Composer Frédéric Chopin and writer George Sand spent the winter of 1838–39 at the Real Cartuja (Carthusian monastery) here, a stay Sand later chronicled in her book "A Winter in Majorca" — the village still draws visitors for that history today.

You'll have around 2 hours to walk Valldemossa's streets, visit the monastery area and enjoy the coca de patata tasting at your own pace. The tour is a half-day excursion overall, factoring in transfer time and hotel pickups across southern Mallorca.

Included: round-trip transport in an air-conditioned coach, a professional multilingual guide, and the coca de patata tasting. Not included: entrance to the Real Cartuja monastery itself and any personal purchases in the village, so plan for that if you want to go inside.
