Frequently Asked Questions

There's no meeting point for this one — it's a ticket, not a guided walk. After booking you'll get an e-voucher by email; just show it on your phone or printed straight at the museum entrance (Puerta de los Jerónimos). If you have any doubt beforehand, our office at Calle Coloreros, 2 - just off Calle Mayor 20, Madrid, is happy to help.

This is entrance-only — no guide included, so you set your own pace inside. If you'd rather have someone explain the collection as you go, we also run a guided Prado tour with a licensed art historian; just ask our team and we'll switch you over.

You will — the Prado has excellent multilingual wall panels and free maps at the entrance, and you can rent an official audioguide right there for a small extra fee if you want more depth.

Yes. The museum offers audioguides for rent directly at the entrance hall; it's not included in this ticket price, but it's available on the spot.

It means you skip the ticket-purchase queue, which is usually the longest one. Everyone still goes through the same security and bag check at the door, so budget a few minutes there — but you'll be inside well before the walk-up crowd.

You'll receive one e-voucher per person by email as soon as your booking is confirmed. Keep it on your phone or print it — either works at the entrance, no office visit needed.

Large backpacks aren't allowed inside the galleries, so plan for that. The museum has a free cloakroom near the entrance where you can leave bags and coats before going in.

The Prado closes on January 1st, May 1st, and December 25th, and runs reduced hours (10:00 AM-2:00 PM) on December 24th, 31st, and January 6th. Double-check your date against these before booking, and reach out if you need to adjust it.
