Tour Itinerary

Palma de Mallorca

Palma was founded as a Roman camp upon the remains of a Talaiotic settlement. The city was subjected to several Vandal raids during the fall of the Western Roman Empire, then reconquered by the Bizantine Empire, then colonised by the Moors (who called it Medina Mayurqa) and, in the 13th century, by James I of Aragon.

We begin with a scenic drive along the famous Mallorca coastal road, traveling between Estellencs and Banyalbufar—one of the most stunning routes on the island. Along the way, we’ll stop at key viewpoints to admire the Mallorca coastline, take photos and visit a historic watchtower overlooking the sea.

Valldemossa

Next, we head to Valldemossa, one of the most iconic stops on any Mallorca sightseeing tour. This charming village is known for its cobbled streets, traditional architecture and unique atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing walk and cultural discovery.

At lunchtime, enjoy a true Mallorcan gastronomic experience with a selection of traditional tapas served in a local restaurant. The menu includes bread with tomato and aioli, Mallorcan cured meats, savory pastries, mushrooms stuffed with sobrasada and honey, roasted vegetables, cod with sobrasada sauce, grilled meat and a homemade dessert, all paired with wine, water and sangria. A perfect introduction to traditional Mallorcan cuisine.

Petra

In the afternoon, we continue to Petra to visit the Monastery of Bonany, a peaceful location offering spectacular panoramic views of Mallorca.

Montuiri

Finally, we visit a traditional Mallorca pearl factory in Montuïri, where you’ll learn about the craftsmanship behind one of the island’s most famous products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pickup is on the island itself, not from Madrid: the main meeting point is Camí de l'Escullera in Palma (please arrive by 8:40 AM for the 8:50 AM departure). Free hotel pickup is also available for guests staying in the Calvià and Arenal areas — we'll confirm your exact pickup time and spot after booking.

Instead of the crowded resort strip, we drive inland and along the Tramuntana coast to real working villages — Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Valldemossa, Petra and Montuïri — where daily life hasn't been rearranged for tour buses. You'll see a traditional pearl workshop in Montuïri and the Bonany Monastery in Petra, places most sightseeing itineraries skip entirely.

Lunch is a proper Mallorcan spread, not a tourist set-menu: pa amb oli (bread with tomato and aioli), cured meats, savory pastries, mushrooms with sobrasada and honey, roasted vegetables, cod with sobrasada sauce, grilled meat and a homemade dessert, with wine, sangria and water included. It's built around regional ingredients you'd actually find on a local table, not a generic 'international' menu.

The full experience runs about 8.5 hours, from morning pickup to drop-off, giving enough time to actually stop and walk through each village rather than rushing past it.

The Tramuntana road between Estellencs and Banyalbufar does wind along the coast, and that's exactly what gives you the sea and mountain viewpoints. If you're prone to motion sickness, sit near the front of the coach and consider taking your usual remedy beforehand — the bus itself is air-conditioned and comfortable for the ride.

You'll visit Valldemossa, known for its cobbled streets and traditional architecture, drive the scenic Estellencs–Banyalbufar coastal stretch, stop at the Bonany Monastery in Petra, and see a traditional pearl factory in Montuïri — a mix of coast, mountain villages and inland Mallorca in one day.

The guide leads the tour in English, German, French and Dutch. If you need details confirmed in another language, let us know when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Yes — cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, so you can book with confidence and adjust if something comes up during your trip.
