According to the monument’s regulations, visitors must enter and exit the Mosque with their guide.
The visit is not accessible for people with reduced mobility in the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos.
Baby strollers should be left at the entrance of the Alcazar.

Puerta del Perdón of the Cathedral-Mosque
We will begin our visit at the Puerta del Perdón entrance. When you arrive, you should head towards the store “Sabor a España” located in front of the entrance, where you will meet with your tour group.
It is recommended that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the tour. Look for the orange umbrellas held by our tour guides to easily locate your group. They will provide you with information and guide you throughout your tour of this beautiful historic monument.
Mosque-Cathedral
The Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady, which was known as a mosque since its construction in the year 784, has undergone numerous extensions over the centuries. It is currently the second-largest mosque in the world.
Following the Christian conquest in the 16th century, a Renaissance cruciform basilica was built inside the mosque in the Plateresque style. Today, visitors can explore the unique blend of Islamic and Christian architecture in the cathedral, and see firsthand the cultural and historical significance of this magnificent monument. Calleja de la Hoguera
As we make our way down this narrow two-meter-wide street, we will be transported back in time to the medieval era. These streets, which widen and narrow, are characteristic of Arab urban design.
And, as if that isn’t enough, there’s a little surprise waiting for us along the way. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience firsthand the unique architectural and cultural features of Córdoba, and to immerse ourselves in the rich history of this beautiful city.
Cardenal Salazar Square
Our next destination is in the vicinity of the Mosque-Cathedral. We will be visiting a square named after an important figure in the city’s history, Cardinal Pedro de Salazar, who founded a hospital for Black Death patients. The hospital building, which is located in the same square, currently serves as the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
This visit provides a unique opportunity to learn about the historical significance of the city of Córdoba, and to discover how it has evolved over time. Jewish Quarter-Zoco
La Judería, located in the historic center of Córdoba, is the former Jewish quarter that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994.
During the medieval period, this neighborhood was separated from the rest of the city by a protective wall, which not only kept its inhabitants safe but also prevented Christian attacks. The most significant location within the Jewish Quarter was the Zoco, derived from the Arabic word “suq” meaning market.
